| Travel | Nha Trang – a lovely city with wonderful beach

My family and I planned to go to Nha Trang at the beginning of 2021 to relax and change our daily life routine due to covid-19 pandemic. Because the international commercial flights are still limited, we chose to travel in some domestic destinations instead of. It’s such a long time I haven’t gone to Nha Trang and it absolutely made me feel amazed at its development and environment. Although the tourism has developed, it is still a nice city with wonderful white smooth sand beach and spending a day in Vin wonders, especially with my children, is valuable.

We left Hanoi when the temperature was around 12-13 degrees, it seemed to be one of the coldest days within 2 months. The continuous foggy days made everything seem to be frozen, and we thought about the destination where has sunshine, beach and better weather. Nha Trang was absolutely a good choice and we booked a travel package including hotels and flight tickets to go there. My children, Hana & Anna haven’t been there and they love the beach and swimming so much. While my hunnie and I announced them about this short vacation, they were very very excited, always asked about the plan and were ready to prepare everything needed for the trip.

HOW TO GO FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CITY

We arrived Cam Ranh international airport in early afternoon, took a light lunch with burger king at the airport before going to the city center. We went Nha Trang in off-peak season, thus, there were not much people and it was quite easy to take a taxi with suitable price (around 200k VND) to go to our hotel next to the beach. Even the distance from the airport to the city is quite far, app. 35-40km, it is not boring because of the landscape outside the window. My babies were excited with the beauty of the sky, the huge resorts through to road and especially the bonsai along with Tran Phu road. When we saw the sea, I was very amazed, Nha Trang beach is still absolutely wonderful as my memory with deep blue sea and white soft sand.

Before arriving, we already booked a hotel near the beach. So, we just simply told the taxi drive the name and address of the hotel, then he brought us directly to there. Last time, when I hadn’t booked anywhere to stay, I just asked the driver some suggestions for finding a suitable hotel and finally I could get one. I believe that the traveller can find the best place when asking local people in combination with collecting information from the Internet.

HOW TO MOVE IN THE CITY

Normally, when I travel a big city, I prefer using the public transportation if it is convenient. In Nha Trang, it’s better to rent a car or a bike, that will help me to discover as much as I can. This time, I went travelling with 2 children and we didn’t want to go to many places that were known as must-go in Nha Trang. We just wanted to relax and refresh our daily routine and we decided to spend a day in Vin wonders. We spent most of other time to walk through the beach, enjoy a wonderful time in the balcony of the hotel. We chose to go by taxi because this seemed to be the most suitable for our family.

When going by taxi around the city, we don’t need to bargain, the cost will be counted by the meter machine. Actually, at this time, we didn’t go to many places. If we come back when two children grow up, we will rent a vehicle to be more flexible.

WHAT TO EAT

Nha Trang has many many delicious foods that travellers should taste when arriving here. It is easy to find the seafood restaurants or local shops on online travel blog or websites such as tripadvisor or lonely planet.

Actually, as experience on previous time I travelled Nha Trang, I had to say that Nha Trang cuisines are very, very delicious. And, if someone goes here, it is valuable to try. Some of local foods I tried here:

• Seafoods
• Nha Trang beefsteak
• Pork Skewer
• Cripsy pancake
• Fermented pork roll

WHERE TO GO

As my experience, the most valuable place in Nha Trang is wonderful long white sand beach. When I went to Nha Trang for the first time, I really enjoy going around and visit its landmarks, landscapes and some attractions. I can remember somewhere I went as:

• Ponagar Cham tower: one of the most popular and must-go destination in Nha Trang. It shows the culture during the development of this lovely city. When I went there, the entrance was free and I’m not sure is there any update.
• Vinpearl land: in my opinion, one day in Vinpearl is enough to go around, enjoy artificial beach, aquarium… I bought one-day ticket that allowed my family access all available areas in Vinpearl and a free lunch.
• Beach: swimming or just walking through the coast is valuable to do. I enjoyed the pure environment of the sea and seem-to-be-dustless city.
• Travelling to the islands in a day trip. It’s easy to find information or book a tour at hotel’s reception.
• Diving to see the beautiful life under the water.

WHAT TO DO

Actually, I really enjoyed relaxing at the hotel and walking through the shore. When I’m in Nha Trang, I think I don’t need to do anything for not wasting my time. For those who want to discover more instead of relaxing, going around by bike or enjoying local foods are very nice options.

Even when I came back Hanoi, I still missed the time in Nha Trang so much. I thought that if I have to choose somewhere to live, I will move here.

In conclusion, Nha Trang is not only an interesting tourism city, but also a wonderful to travel, to relax and even to live.
